HUNTINGTON BEACH : Sobriety Checkpoint Set for Thursday

Police will hold a sobriety checkpoint Thursday night in the southbound lanes of Bolsa Chica Street near Heil Avenue.
Officers will seek to increase public awareness of problems caused by motorists who drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Police Sgt. Tris Swan said.
The checkpoint also helps to remove as many problem drivers from the road as quickly as possible, Swan said.
The checkpoint will operate from 7 to 11 p.m.
