Ventura County sheriff’s detectives are looking for a man who robbed a bank on North Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks Friday morning and fled with about $2,700 in cash, authorities said.
The robber did not display or pretend to have a weapon when he handed a note demanding money to a teller at the First State Bank of the Oaks about 10:50 a.m., police said.
The teller handed him the cash and the man fled on foot, police said. A search by deputies in numerous patrol cars and surveillance by a sheriff’s helicopter did not locate him.
The man was described as a white male in his early 30s, 6-foot-2 and 200 to 225 pounds with sandy blond hair and a scruffy beard, officials said. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a T-shirt and jeans, they said.
