Times Press Workers to Vote on Unionization: More than 500 Los Angeles Times pressroom employees in Los Angeles, Costa Mesa and Chatsworth will vote Aug. 5 on joining the Graphic Communications International Union (AFL-CIO). A majority vote is needed to certify the union, which, if approved, would be the only one at The Times. The certification vote was authorized by the National Labor Relations Board.
