DUARTE : City of Hope Nurses End Strike as Talks Go On
Nurses at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte are returning to work after a 13-day strike, union leaders said Wednesday.
Nurses began returning to work Monday after City of Hope officials informed them that they would be permanently replaced, said Maureen Anderson, spokeswoman for the California Nurses Assn.
Nurses went on strike after negotiations broke down over time off and job descriptions. Both parties have returned to the bargaining table.
