Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Man Dies After Crash
PALMDALE — A 62-year-old man died Tuesday after his car struck another vehicle on a Palmdale street, authorities said.
Guillermo Silva was driving north on 30th Street East about 10:15 a.m., when a car driven by Rene Ortiz, 25, of Canyon Country pulled in front of him, causing Silva to rear-end Ortiz’s car, Sheriff’s Sgt. Gary Olson said.
Silva, who was taken to Palmdale Hospital Medical Center Hospital after he complained of chest pains, died about 1:30 p.m.
The Sheriff’s Department will submit the case for investigation to the district attorney’s office, Olson said.
