Kiwanis Club Awards 10 Scholarships
SANTA ANA — Ten local high school and college students have received scholarships from the Kiwanis Club of Santa Ana.
The recipients, all Santa Ana residents, include Rancho Santiago College graduates Sandra Guerra, Michell Goldberg, Marlene Wagner and Terrance Lacher. Those students received scholarships of $4,400 a year for two years to continue their education at four-year institutions, Kiwanis spokesman David Bunch said.
Melissa Weist and Leopold Sanchez, who attend Rancho’s vocational school, split $1,400 to continue their education there.
High school recipients received two-year college scholarships ranging from $300 to $500 per semester. They were Julie Frazier, Rosey Begum, Gloribella Esquibel and Maurice Gutierrez.
