COUNTYWIDE : County OKs $327,000 in Park Upgrades
The Board of Supervisors has approved a parks improvement package of more than $327,000, which will expand or renovate recreational facilities in six cities.
The projects, brought before the board by Supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez, will be funded through an allocation from the 3rd District Urban Parks Program. The approved projects are:
* A $150,000 expansion of Hurless Barton Park in Yorba Linda that includes installation of playground equipment.
* A $79,985 renovation of facilities at Laurel School and Lagos de Moreno Park in Brea, along with installation of playground equipment.
* A $40,000 replacement of play equipment at Rolling Hills Park in Fullerton.
* A $22,535 project involving general park improvements and installation of playground equipment at San Miguel de Allende Park and Guadalupe Park in La Habra.
* A $20,000 project involving renovation and play equipment improvements at Ranchwood and El Toro parks in Lake Forest.
* A $15,000 upgrade of water conservation measures at Tri-City Park, which spills into Brea, Fullerton and Placentia.
