75-Cent Matinees

AMC cinemas in Fullerton and Santa Ana today will launch a summer series of G- and PG-rated matinees priced at 75 cents per person when you purchase a book of 10 tickets for $7.50. The films will screen weekdays at 10:30 a.m. and will include such titles as “Beethoven,” “Home Alone 2,” “Little Nemo,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Fern Gully.” This is the fifth summer AMC has offered such a series. Orange County locations are the MainPlace Six in Santa Ana and the Fullerton 10 theaters.

The MainPlace Six has also started a “Mingles Night” promotion on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. For the price of a movie ticket, participants take part in a social hour with hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, entertainment and movie trivia games. Moviegoers can then take in any of the six films playing at the theater.
