MID-WILSHIRE : Tours of Red Line Extension Thursday
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will host an open house Thursday to answer questions about the Red Line Mid-City extension and conduct tours of the underground construction site at the Wilshire/Western station.
The open house is scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m. at the Metro field office, 3774 Wilshire Blvd. The 2.3-mile extension, projected to open in 2000, will include stations at Crenshaw and Olympic boulevards, and at Pico and San Vicente boulevards.
Reservations are required for the underground tours, which begin on the hour from 3 to 6 p.m.
