Applicants for the position have until Monday to file with the city clerk’s office. Committee member Margo Wheeler resigned after being named May 18 to the city planning board.
The 10-member committee takes complaints about city traffic; helps prepare transportation and traffic reports; makes recommendations to the city manager on improving traffic conditions and enforcement; and handles problems dealing with street names.
The City Council will choose the new committee member, whose term will expire June 1, 1994. The position is unpaid.
