SAN CLEMENTE : Marine Arrested in Sexual Assault
A 21-year-old Camp Pendleton Marine was arrested Monday after his former girlfriend said he sexually assaulted her over the weekend, police said.
Pvt. Timothy Scott Jackson was arrested without incident about 8:30 a.m. at his home in the 100 block of La Rambla, said Sgt. Willie Moreno of the San Clemente Police Department.
Police had been looking for Jackson since about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. His former girlfriend called police immediately after the attack and said she had been assaulted, Moreno said.
The woman told police that Jackson was outside her home talking on a telephone, but he had left the area by the time police arrived, Moreno said.
Jackson was arrested on suspicion of rape and was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail, Moreno said.
