ARCS Mortgage Inc., the Calabasas mortgage-banking affiliate of the Bank of New York, said it named Timothy L. White as general counsel and corporate secretary.
White, 41, succeeds Scott Whittle, who resigned, ARCS said. White will oversee the company’s legal, regulatory and legislative activities.
Prior to joining ARCS, White was an attorney with the Los Angeles law firm of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro. He earlier served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Co. in Los Angeles and its affiliate, Republic Federal Savings. White was also a Republic Federal director.
Separately, ARCS said it named Cheryl A. Lacy a senior-level vice president of wholesale lending.
Lacy formerly managed the wholesale-lending division of Weyerhauser. She has managed wholesale-lending operations in California since 1982.
In her new position, Lacy will oversee ARCS’ Southern California wholesale-lending business.
