2 Residents Named to Commission on Fund Solicitations
Residents Linda Roberts and Rona Leuin have been appointed by the Beverly Hills City Council to serve on the city’s Solicitations Advisory Commission.
The commission works with the city’s police chief and makes recommendations on applications by charitable and religious groups to solicit funds in the city. The volunteer commissioners are appointed to four-year terms.
Roberts is a founding member of the Beverly Hills Education Foundation and has served as past president of the Beverly Hills PTA Council. Leuin is a member of the city’s Neighborhood Watch and Disaster Preparedness programs.
The new appointees replace Linda Briskman, who has been appointed to the city’s Traffic & Parking Commission, and retiring Commissioner Edie Amos, who served two terms on the commission.
