Fast and Free Removal of Graffiti
Property owners in Chinatown can call the Los Angeles Police Department’s police substation there for fast and free removal of graffiti.
The Chinatown Public Safety Assn. and the LAPD’s Central Enhancement Corps have launched the paint-out program.
Within a few days of a call, a crew of volunteers will be sent to paint over graffiti. Only the area covered by the graffiti, not the entire structure, will be painted.
A paint crew of about 10 volunteers has been recruited, along with probationers and other court referrals to paint out the graffiti as community service work.
