LOS ALAMITOS : Renovated Park to Be Dedicated
The dedication of the Orville R. Lewis Memorial Park at 3662 Kempton Drive will be held at 11 a.m. today.
The park, which is newly renovated, boasts new playground equipment and other features, including a new brick barbecue, two concrete picnic tables, a park monument sign and a bronze plaque dedicated to the memory of Orville R. Lewis.
Lewis, a former police commander and community volunteer, died last year at age 45. He had served on the police force for more than 20 years.
The dedication was scheduled for last week but was postponed because of rain.
