Clippers to Interview Littles About Job
The Clippers have received permission from the Denver Nuggets to interview Gene Littles for the vacant coaching position, a meeting that should take place within the next few days, at a pre-draft scouting combine in Chicago.
Littles, an assistant last season with the Nuggets, is a former coach of the Charlotte Hornets. He also was an American Basketball Assn. roommate of Danny Manning’s father, Ed, and a longtime friend of the family, a possible side benefit as Manning heads toward free agency.
Littles is believed to be the third candidate to interview for the Clipper job, following Lenny Wilkens, who turned it down, and Del Harris.
