Sub-Saharan Africa
I read your May 25 article “Sub-Saharan Africa, Continent in Crisis†in World Report. I always read this section because I find it very informative, but this article shocked me in its negligence. How is it possible that an entire page was spent talking about the problems of sub-Saharan Africa with not a single mention of its population explosion? In the case of Kenya (which is doubling its population every 19 years), how can you talk about a low growth in per capita income without mentioning that the economy must double every two decades just to keep up with population growth?
