PREP GOLF : Trabuco Hills Named No. 1 in the County
Trabuco Hills was a nearly unanimous choice as the No. 1 golf team in the final SCPGA Orange County coaches’ poll.
The Mustangs, who finished third in the Southern Section team championships, received 11 of 12 first-place votes and 129 points. Santa Margarita, which finished second at the Southern Section final, was second in the poll with 111 points. Trabuco Hills and Santa Margarita will finish the season Monday at the CIF-Southern California Golf Assn. Championships at Stockdale Country Club in Bakersfield.
Esperanza, which failed to advance to the sectional championships, received the other first-place vote and was third with 93 points.
