Amwest Insurance Enters Joint Surety Venture
Amwest Insurance Group Inc., based in Woodland Hills, said it entered into a joint international surety venture with Afianzadora Insurgentes S.A., Mexico’s largest surety company.
Amwest said the agreement will enable contractors in the United States and Mexico to obtain surety bonds they need to do business in either country. Together, the two insurance companies will underwrite bonds for bids, performance, advance payment, labor and materials, maintenance, supplies and services.
Amwest did not put a dollar value on the agreement.
