Pipe Bomb Found at JFK High School
LA PALMA — Police were searching Sunday for suspects responsible for a pipe bomb found over the weekend at John F. Kennedy High School.
Employees of the school, 8281 Walker St., discovered the bomb at 8:55 a.m. Saturday. It was attached to the school’s Blarney Stone monument, Sgt. J.C. Kirkpatrick said.
La Palma police cordoned off Walker Street while the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Devices Squad disarmed the bomb. There were no injuries or property damage, Kirkpatrick said.
