Debate Sponsor Was Chamber of Commerce
To give credit where credit is due, it was the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce, not the League of Women Voters, that sponsored and organized the “fiery, fast-moving” debate May 18 on the proposal to break up the Los Angeles Unified School District.
The league was happy to provide the chamber with the services of a moderator for the event. We salute chamber members for providing this forum for pro-and-con views on the proposal and for their plans to sponsor an ongoing series of town hall meetings.
