Pay TV: Encore Media Corp. will get first-run releases from Universal Pictures to be shown over a pay channel being launched in January under an exclusive deal. One of the first films expected to be aired is “Scent of a Woman.” Steven Spielberg’s upcoming “Jurassic Park” was not included in the deal. Encore previously disclosed six specialty channels to feature films in genres such as Western, action, romance and mystery.
