Mall’s Face Lift: A multimillion-dollar renovation that “reflects our commitment and positive outlook for the future” of Huntington Beach Mall is underway at the shopping center, said Lori Gatto, spokeswoman for MaceRich Co. in Santa Monica, which owns the 969,000-square-foot shopping center.
The renovation “provides us with the opportunity to realign our anchor and tenant mix to cater to evolving shopping patterns and needs which will establish Huntington Beach Mall as a dominant retail force,” Gatto said.
The face lift, which includes new skylights and energy-efficient lighting, is to be completed by November. Huntington Beach Mall is anchored by the Broadway, Montgomery Ward, Mervyn’s and Circuit City.
