TINY INN: Dana Point can boast of being home to the world’s smallest Holiday Inn hotel as of June 1 when the Edgewater Inn becomes the Holiday Inn Express-Dana Point. The new hotel, located in Capistrano Beach just across from Doheny State Park, has only 30 rooms--about the size of the first Holiday Inn that opened in Memphis, Tenn. in 1952. The largest Holiday Inn: Beijing-Lido in China with 890 rooms. “We’re a boutique compared to the big hotels,” said owner Darin Klein, “but that means more personalized attention for our guests.”
