3 Teen-Agers Arrested in Carjack Killing
RIVERSIDE — Three teen-agers, including a 13-year-old, were arrested on suspicion of murder in the fatal shooting of an Air Force sergeant during a carjacking attempt in Moreno Valley, authorities said Sunday.
The teen-agers were arrested late Saturday in the murder of Tech. Sgt. Yvonne M. Los. The arrests were made by sheriff’s deputies who were serving search warrants on four Riverside County residences, said Detective Henry Sawicki.
The 13-year-old, who was being held in the county juvenile hall, was not identified because of his age.
The others, both 18, were identified as Jack Williams and Alonso Dearaujo. Both were being held Sunday in the County Jail.
The three are also under investigation in several carjackings and attempted carjackings, Sawicki said.
Los, the mother of two, was shot to death Wednesday night after she refused to turn her car over to carjackers as she left a fitness center. She was assigned to the 22nd Medical Group at March Air Force Base.
