Man, 39, Killed During Dispute With Wife
GARDEN GROVE — A man was killed in a domestic dispute with his wife on Saturday night, but police said Sunday they do not yet know whether the death was accidental or intentional.
Khanh Kim Frymuth, 28, was held briefly in connection with the 7 p.m. shooting of her husband, Christopher Frymuth, 39, said Sgt. Dan Lyons. She was later released pending further investigation into how the shooting occurred.
“The victim took out a gun and his wife somehow got it,” Lyons said. “Whether she took it, whether he gave it to her, we have no idea. Then it went off and the victim was struck in the chest.”
Officers called to the couple’s home in the 12800 block of Chapman Avenue found Christopher Frymuth wounded. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died a short time later.
Lyons said investigators determined that the couple were arguing before the shooting.
