Coroner: Cocaine Caused Waymer’s Death
From Associated Press
Cocaine killed Raider defensive back David Waymer last month, according to a toxicology report released Tuesday.
Waymer died at a hospital near his Winston-Salem, N.C., home of an irregular heartbeat because of cocaine toxicity, the Forsyth County medical examiner’s report said. Waymer was 34.
Several days after Waymer’s death, traces of cocaine were found in his blood and urine and an artery supplying Waymer’s heart was narrowed.
