Recently, when the standoff in Waco, Tex., turned ugly and the cult members set fire to their compound, “Guiding Light” (CBS), which had been on for about 15 minutes, was interrupted by a news break, which took up the rest of the hour.

Couldn’t the network have waited until 3 p.m. to tell the world about this terrible happening? I was very annoyed by this interruption.
