Hit-Run Driver Kills Man Crossing Street

A 64-year-old Oxnard man died early Saturday morning after he was hit by a car while crossing Oxnard Boulevard at 8th Street, Oxnard police said. He was reported dead at the scene.
Police said the car struck Rodolfo Chavez as he crossed outside the crosswalk at 3:15 a.m. The unidentified driver left the scene, police said.
Oxnard police are continuing their investigation.
