In another Sunset League game:
Fountain Valley 2, Westminster 1--Jennifer Leialoha scored with one out in the bottom of the seventh when Kelley Santa Cruz walked with the bases loaded for Fountain Valley (18-6, 11-3).
In the Century League:
Foothill 2, El Modena 0--Amy Tessman pitched a no-hitter as Foothill (18-9, 8-2) forced a tie for the league title with El Modena. There will be a coin flip today to decide which team gets the No. 1 berth into the Southern Section playoffs.
Canyon 1, Villa Park 0--Jamie Al-Moradi homered in the fourth for visiting Canyon (13-13, 4-6). Jennifer Broughton (11-10) pitched a four-hitter with two strikeouts.
In the Empire League:
Los Alamitos 1, Cypress 0--Debbie Wilson had three hits and drove in a run for Los Alamitos (20-3, 8-2), which won the league title.
Katella 2, Loara 0--Visiting Katella (11-13, 5-5) scored twice in the seventh to clinch third place and a playoff berth.
In the Freeway League:
La Habra 3, Troy 0--Danielle Ortega pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts to improve her record to 20-5 for the host Highlanders (20-5, 8-2), which clinched the league title.
Fullerton 1, Sunny Hills 0--Amy Freilich singled, stole second, went to third on a passed ball and scored on a grounder in the seventh for Fullerton (14-14, 6-4), which clinched third place and dropped Sunny Hills (12-11, 7-3) out of first place. It was also the second time this season that freshman pitcher Angie Fancuberta (14-12) beat her sister, senior Bernie Fancuberta (12-6). Sunny Hills is 12-11, 7-3.
Buena Park 2, Sonora 0--Vanessa Rodriguez hit a home run in the bottom of the fourth inning for Buena Park (9-11, 2-8).
In the Garden Grove League:
Kennedy 6, Santiago 2--Lisa Pitt had three hits including a double and also pitched a two-hitter for visiting Kennedy (23-2, 13-1).
In the Orange League:
Brea-Olinda 2, Savanna 0--Nicole Graner hit her first homer as Brea-Olinda (18-8, 10-0) clinched its second league title in three years.
Valencia 4, Western 3--Michelle Prager, who went two for three, hit a double in the third inning to score Stacy Ross with the winning run for Valencia (5-11, 4-6).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 8, Century 4--Alycia Stevens went four for five and had two RBIs and scored two runs for league champ Laguna Hills (19-5, 10-0).
In the Sea View League:
Irvine 10, Newport Harbor 0 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Rebecca Smith had three hits and pitched a six-hitter for visiting Irvine. Newport Harbor (14-8, 8-6) will play Tustin in a third-place playoff game at 2:30 p.m. today at Alton Park.
Tustin 7, Saddleback 2--Erica Araza went two for four with two RBIs for visiting Tustin, which finishes the season 12-11, 8-6.
Woodbridge 7, Santa Margarita 0--Courtney Spelber was three for three with two RBIs and a scored run for Woodbridge (23-5, 13-1), which shares the league title with Irvine.
In the South Coast League:
San Clemente 1, Mater Dei 0--Niclana Tolmassoff (10-8) pitched a one-hitter for visiting San Clemente (10-8, 7-3), which finished second. Heather Hollis scored on an error on grounder hit by Amy Novak with one out in the second for San Clemente. Mater Dei is 17-3, 9-1.
