Man Gets Prison Term in Bank Robbery Case

A U. S. District Court judge has sentenced a 28-year-old Camarillo man to 2 1/2 years in prison for the Feb. 12 robbery of the Bank of America branch in Camarillo.

Karl John McMillin was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to bank robbery March 29. His sentence is to be followed by three years of probation.

In another case, a 29-year-old Port Hueneme man was indicted Friday in federal court in Los Angeles in connection with the Jan. 15 robbery of Home Savings bank in Thousand Oaks.

Alton Anthony Robertson was charged with bank robbery, federal firearms charges, conspiracy and aiding and abetting. Another defendant, Karey Jerome Long, 29, of Los Angeles pleaded guilty April 12 to the Thousand Oaks robbery, as well as the Feb. 18 robbery of the First Nationwide Bank in Thousand Oaks and the Jan. 29 robbery of Household Bank in Port Hueneme.
