LOS ANGELES : Charred Body of Young Woman Found in Alley
Police have found no motive for the slaying of an unidentified young woman whose charred body was found in a Southeast Los Angeles alley.
The body was found about 9 a.m. Monday in an alley near 104th and Main streets, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Steve Turley of the Southeast station.
LAPD investigators suspect that the young woman was killed elsewhere and then was dumped in the alley and her body set on fire during the night, Turley said.
The victim was estimated to be between 16 and 30.
An autopsy had yet to be done.
