MCA Names President of International Unit

In a move aimed at strengthening global operations, Jorgen Larsen has been named to the newly created position of president of MCA Music Entertainment International.
Larsen, formerly president of the German record company Deutsche Schallplatten Berlin, will relocate to London, where he will oversee MCA’s record operations in the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany and Japan, and the company’s international expansion.
MCA Music Entertainment International will be responsible for products from MCA Records, Geffen/DGC Records, GRP Records and affiliated labels. MCA Music’s international managing directors will now report to Larsen, who in turn reports to MCA Music Entertainment Group Chairman Al Teller.
