UC IRVINE NOTES : Volleyball Team Lands 6-9 Blocker
Chris Harger, a 6-foot-9 middle blocker from Long Beach Poly, has signed with UC Irvine’s volleyball team.
Harger, in only his second season of organized volleyball, joins Santa Margarita’s Greg Sternchak, Chris Cote of University of San Diego High and Glendale Hoover’s Scott Springborn.

The UC Irvine men’s tennis team was not among the 20 teams invited to the NCAA championships May 14-18 in Athens, Ga. The Anteaters dropped from 22nd to 25th in the latest NCAA rankings.
