FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Asian-American groups at UC Irvine today will step up their demands for an Asian-American studies program: They’re going on a camp-out/hunger strike. Four students each day will camp in front of the Administration Building, without meals, for 24 hours. Senior John Ing acknowledges that UCI can’t act until new chancellor Laurel L. Wilkening comes aboard July 1. “But we’ve waited long enough,” he says.
