Glendale
East Palmer Avenue, 900 block--Officers discovered a fire in a gift store at 12:39 a.m. April 26.
East Colorado Boulevard, 1500 block--A thief stole a pager off a woman’s purse strap as she walked along a sidewalk at 1:30 p.m. April 26.
South Chevy Chase Drive, 900 block--After a struggle, a robber escaped with a woman’s purse containing about $45 and miscellaneous credit and ATM cards at 5 p.m. April 26.
East Broadway, 1400 block--A portable toilet outside the basketball courts at a high school was set on fire at 8:10 p.m. April 27.
North Glendale Avenue, 400 block--Jewelry valued at $1,050 was stolen from a safe deposit box on April 27 or 28.
North Maryland Avenue, 100 block--While an accomplice distracted a store employee, a thief entered a restricted area and stole cash, a handgun and checks, valued together at $6,250, at 6:37 p.m. April 29.
North Louise Street, 100 block--A thief forced the padlocks off two lockers in a health club men’s room between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. April 30. From one locker he took a wallet, cash and a watch, valued together at $270; in the second locker he stole cash and a watch, valued together at $205.
Green Street, 1100 block--After punching a woman, a thief stole her purse and $60 at 6:12 p.m. April 30.
North Glendale Avenue, 500 block--Entering through the unlocked back door of a video store, a thief stole $260 on April 30 or May 1.
South Central Avenue, 600 block--A thief pried open a locker in a health club men’s room and stole a wallet and $650 between 9:30 and 11:55 a.m. May 1.
East Colorado Street, 200 block--A woman was arrested after she was observed using a knife to steal a bag of food and other items from a sleeping homeless person at 11:45 a.m. May 2.
La Canada Flintridge
West Foothill Boulevard, 500 block--After a traffic stop, deputies recovered several steaks and a Cornish game hen, valued together at $45, that had been stolen from a supermarket at 3 a.m. April 27.
La Crescenta
Montrose Avenue from Florencia Avenue--Two men in a car tried to force another car off the road and threw a rock at the second car at 6:40 p.m. April 27.
Atwater Village
Laclede Avenue and Tyburn Street--After blocking the victim’s vehicle with their own, robbers displaying handguns stole cash and other property valued at $381 at 11:30 a.m. April 28.
Eagle Rock
Townsend Avenue and Colorado Boulevard--Armed robbers stole $137 at gunpoint from a pedestrian at 8 p.m. April 28.
Figueroa Street and Eagle Vista Drive--Displaying a gun, robbers stole a camera valued at $1,000 from the man who was using it at 4:35 p.m. April 29.
North Avenue 47, 1400 block--Thieves entered through an unlocked back door and stole video and camera equipment, valued together at $1,950, between 8:30 and 9:15 p.m. May 1.
Fair Park Avenue, 2300 block--Thieves stole guns and equipment, valued together at $2,237, from a private residence between 8:55 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 1.
Echo Park
Lookout Drive, 700 block--Thieves cut security bars on a private residence and stole cash and video equipment, totaling $20,400, between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. April 26.
Alvarado Street and Berkeley Avenue--Using a handgun, thieves stole credit cards and jewelry, valued together at $88, at 10:30 p.m. April 26.
Boulevard and Echo Park Avenue--Thieves brandished a handgun and stole a man’s car at 11:45 p.m. April 27.
Benton Avenue and Reservoir Street--Thieves cut a man’s necklace off his neck when he refused to hand it over, then took it and cash, valued together at $250, at 12:30 a.m. April 30.
Figueroa Terrace, 800 block--Jewelry valued at $500 was forcibly removed from a man by knife-wielding thieves at 9 p.m. May 2.
Glassell Park
North San Fernando Road, 700 block--After forcing open an outer gate, then removing hinges from a side door, thieves stole tools and a radio, valued together at $3,150, in a theft discovered April 26.
Alegre Place, 900 block--Thieves smashed a rear door window to enter and steal a TV and video equipment, valued together at $4,275, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.
Highland Park
Hamlet Street, 200 block--Entering through a side window, thieves stole guns and sporting goods, valued together at $1,470, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. April 27.
Marmion Way and Avenue 57--A thief stole $146 from a cash register attendant at 9:30 a.m. April 27.
Los Feliz
Bryn Mawr Road, 4700 block--Thieves stole a shotgun and ammunition from a private residence in a burglary discovered April 26.
North Vermont Avenue, 1600 block--After one robber put a gun to the head of a store clerk, another removed $78 from the register at 10:30 a.m. April 26.
West Sunset Boulevard, 5000 block--A bandit stole $590 from a bank at 1:40 p.m. April 26.
Boulevard, 4600 block--Pointing guns, bandits robbed a man of cash and jewelry, valued together at $22,850, at 8:15 p.m. April 27.
Udell Court, 3800 block--Thieves stole sporting goods and musical instruments, valued together at $1,600, from a private residence between 8:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. April 29.
Silver Lake
Scotland Street, 3000 block--Entering through a dog door, thieves stole video and camera equipment, valued together at $9,030, between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m. April 26.
Silver Lake Boulevard, 1600 block--Holding a knife to the victim’s throat, robbers stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $510, at 9:30 p.m. April 26.
Avenue and Effie Street--Robbers stole cash, credit cards and a bicycle, valued together at $2,720, from a cyclist at 1:45 a.m. April 27.
Hidalgo Avenue, 2400 block--Thieves stole a TV and video equipment, valued together at $2,625, from a private residence between 7 and 9:45 p.m. April 27.
Valleybrink Road, 3700 block--After smashing a side door window, thieves stole tools and sporting goods, valued together at $1,100, from a garage on April 27 or 28.
Glendale Boulevard, 2500 block--While pointing a gun, bandits stole $200 from a market at 4 p.m. April 28.
Silver Lake Drive, 2300 block--Possibly using another garage door controller, thieves opened a front garage door and stole tools and sporting goods, valued together at $1,410, on April 29 or 30.
West Sunset Boulevard, 4500 block--Robbers with a gun stole a man’s car, plus other property valued at $10, at 12:45 p.m. April 29.
Drive, 4300 block--Thieves stole tools and appliances, valued together at $1,140, from a garage between April 29 and May 2.
Myra and Del Mar avenues--Showing a sawed-off shotgun, robbers took cash and jewelry, valued together at $436, from a man at 9:30 p.m. May 2.
