3 Students Awarded $1,000 Scholarships
Veronica Escalante from La Puente High School, Monica Lopez from Workman High and Stephanie Ha from Rosemead High are winners of the first Ilona Miller Business Scholarship.
The scholarship was established in conjunction with the San Gabriel Valley YMCA’s Bright Futures Program by Ilona Miller, president of City of Industry-based Mailsort Inc., to encourage young women to choose business careers.
Each winner will be awarded $1,000.
The fund is designed to offer the scholarships annually.
