Suit Threatened: The attorney for KCBS Channel 2 helicopter reporter Bob Tur sent a letter Tuesday demanding a retraction for what Tur calls defamatory remarks made against him by Sam Rubin on Tuesday’s edition of “The KTLA Morning News.” During his entertainment report, Rubin disputed Tur’s right to criticize Times TV critic Howard Rosenberg during a radio talk-show debate by saying: “Bob Tur is generally regarded as the most dangerous TV pilot in the air or on the air.” The letter stated that if KTLA did not offer a way to resolve the problem Tuesday, Tur would file a lawsuit immediately. Greg Nathanson, KTLA’s general manager, could not be reached for comment. Rubin said that he stood behind what he said, but he would be happy to read a written letter of rebuttal from Tur on the air.
