Rockwell Will Lay Off 125 Workers

ANAHEIM — Rockwell International Corp.’s Defense Electronics Division will lay off about 125 employees starting later this month as a Peacekeeper missile contract winds down.
Rockwell, which manufactures guidance and control systems for the missile, has about 4,000 employees in Anaheim.
The layoffs are “part of an ongoing downsizing as the Peacekeeper program is completed,” spokeswoman Chris Rodriguez said.
Rockwell has opened an “employee transition center” to help laid-off workers find new jobs.
