* Thomas H. Nielsen has been elected to the board of directors of Eldorado Bancorp, the parent company of Eldorado Bank in Tustin. He succeeds Guy K. Claire, who has retired from the board. Nielsen is a consultant on real estate development activities. From 1978 to 1990, he was with the Irvine Co., joining the firm as a vice president and becoming president in 1982 and vice chairman in 1986.
