TOURISM : Wayne Airport Now Taking Credit Cards at Some Parking Lots
Chafing over that $14-a-day fee to park at John Wayne Airport? Just say, “Charge it!”
Airport parking attendants are now accepting Visa and MasterCard in both the short- and long-term lots closest to the terminal. Credit cards are not yet being accepted at the lot on Main Street near MacArthur Boulevard, however.
“We are pleased to provide this additional benefit in response to passenger requests,” Airport Director Jan Mittermeier said of the credit-card policy that began last month. “We believe the new credit-card service will make parking at John Wayne Airport easier and more convenient.”
Parking costs $1 an hour to a maximum of $14 a day for the first two days in the A1 and B1 short-term lots, and $7 a day thereafter. In the A2 and B2 long-term lots, parking is $7 a day.
