Nation IN BRIEF : TEXAS : Girls Risked HIV to Get Into Gang

Police in San Antonio are trying to verify reports by five teen-age girls that they were dared to have unprotected sex with an HIV-infected male as part of a gang initiation. Planned Parenthood of San Antonio said the 14- and 15-year-old girls told counselors that they had had sex with the infected gang member to get into the gang. So far, none of the girls have tested positive for HIV.
