Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Man Killed When Car Hits Motorcycle
LAKE LOS ANGELES — A 36-year-old Lancaster man was killed when his motorcycle was hit head-on by a car in a weekend accident north of Lake Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
The man, David Snyder, was riding his Harley-Davidson south on 170th Street East near Avenue M-8 at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday when a northbound motorist swerved into his lane to avoid a car making a left turn, Officer Miguel Siordia said.
Snyder was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered major internal injuries. He died about 9:20 p.m. Saturday at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center, Siordia said. The northbound motorist, 31-year-old Ruby Sandoval of Palmdale, was treated for minor injuries at the same hospital and released.
