Rainbow Technologies Inc.: The Irvine computer-products company reported a 76% gain in profit for the first quarter, to $1.6 million, or 30 cents a share, from $932,000, or 18 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales were up 53% to $8.7 million from $5.7 million.
