One entertainment option not raised in the April 11 article “On Airplanes, Movies Are Hot; Eating Is Not,” is in-flight video cameras. To have chair side video monitors broadcast (aspects of) the flight could be very entertaining. Small cameras fixed in four aircraft positions could give the passenger spectacular views. The passenger could use his channel switch to observe various directions. How do the airlines benefit? The addition of video recorders could offer passengers (for an extra fee) a silent movie of their flight. Music could be dubbed in after the flight.
