HELPING WOMEN: The Orange Rotary Club has raised $10,000 to help women in its sister city of Rosarito Beach, Mexico. Rotary International started this program 10 years ago, lending money at low interest to women exclusively in Third World countries. . . . Says Bob Meyer of the Orange Rotary: “The women in these countries often are responsible for clothing and feeding the family; this enables money to get to households where husbands are not worth a damn.”
