Troilo had a standout season at Mater Dei last spring when he hit .441 with seven home runs and drove in 34 runs. He went on to play in the Orange County All-Star game and has since continued his successful ways at Rancho Santiago.
Troilo was nine for 15, including five extra-base hits, and drove in the 10 runs in three games last week.
His best performance came against the Cal Lutheran junior varsity. Troilo was four for six with three doubles and six RBIs as Rancho Santiago won, 22-12. His three doubles tied a single-game school record.
Other top performers:
Rich Ernst was six for 12, stole four bases, scored seven runs and drove in five in three games for Orange Coast.
Saddleback’s Wade Jackson was five for five in a 7-6 victory over Rancho Santiago and was 10 for 15 in three games.
