A series of open houses planned for all schools in the Simi Valley Unified School District has begun, providing parents an opportunity to meet educators and discuss issues.
Events recently at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School included tours of school facilities and classrooms, along with exhibits, demonstrations and presentations by students, teachers and principals, officials said.
More than 18,000 students attend Simi Valley’s 27 schools this year.
Each school is offering different open house events. Parents interested in attending should call the school for information about time and date, officials said.
