Obituaries : Klaytan W. Kirby; Danced on Stage, in Movie Musicals
Klaytan W. Kirby, 89, vaudeville dancer who performed across the United States and in movie musicals of the 1930s. Bearing a striking resemblance to the dashing silent-film star Rudolph Valentino, Kirby sometimes made personal appearances for him. Kirby danced in such films as “Go Into Your Dance” with Ruby Keeler and “In Caliente” with Dolores del Rio. During the 1950s, Kirby produced his own films, including “Side Streets of Hollywood” and “Love Me Madly,” both starring Al Molinaro. On Thursday in Glendale.
