TV AS TEACHER
It’s refreshing to see someone reject the politically correct myth that television is the source of all evil. Blaming TV for the violence and brutality that beset our nation reminds me of the ancient habit of kings who routinely killed any messenger who brought bad news.
Why stop at condemning television? How about movies and books? Who can tell what may stimulate one to do violence?
Once we’ve abolished war, banned guns, eliminated spanking, cured alcoholism and drug abuse and taken care of poverty, home- lessness and illiteracy, then we can devote our free time to solving the world’s problems by elevating the quality of television programs.
